Wow! It has been a long time since we have posted in the news section!
Facility Upgrades:
AVS has expanded to add an additional 4 stall barn with attached hay storage. This is a cozy little barn that houses Nicole's personal horses as well as tack storage. We have also added a sand base to our grass jumping field to make things a little more comfortable for the horses. Our hay field has been re seeded this fall in hopes to have a better hay crop in 2016!
Sales & New Boarders
We wish to congratulate Lisa on the purchase of Dash Is A Dot as well as Madison on the purchase of Molly! We wish you continued sucess in the hunter rings. We also welcomed Zoe's new horse Ruby to the farm this summer and Alison and Lauren's horse Boomer. We also wish congrats to Kayse on the purchase of Diane's horse Finnigan. We have a few more horses coming in the next month so we will be a full house for winter!
Calvin!
Our colt Caliper Way aka Calvin has turned 1! He is a registered oldenburg and we look forward to his future as a jumper!
Clinics & Rider Testing
A few weeks ago we had a clinic with Jade Deter of England. 6 horse rider combinations participated. We have a clinic planned with Simone Williams at the end of October as well as English Rider level testing in November.
Show Season!
We attended many shows this season in both hunter/jumper and dressage. Nicole rode both Noah and Leandro at the silver dressage level at 1st and 2nd level. Noah and Leandro were also a part of Team Saskatchewan at the CIEC at Wesley Clover Park. Madison riding Ginger Snap and Back in a Flash, Zoe riding Labeespa Rubia and Lisa and Dash Is A Dot showed at the Partridge Acres hunter shows this season. Each rider earned year end awards! Julia and Chloe riding Autumn Gold, Shyanne and Zachary and Margot and Ginger Snap showed at the OADG schooling dressage shows this summer with great success! Diane and Mercury took on the silver hunter shows in both Kingston and Ottawa. We also had a large group of riders at the Newington Fair which was a lot of fun! Watch for us in 2016!!

With the 2013 show season just around the corner we look back on 2012. It was a very busy year for us here with our big move but we still had great results in the show ring! We attended the OADG awards banquet where Mikayla and Magical One were champions in the w/t/c equitation at the schooling level and Nicole and Leandro were 3rd place open training level at the silver level. We also have the OVSPC awards banquet to go to in April as Diane and Mercury finished 4th place in the training hunters. This year is looking to be a busy summer with new riders joining our show team and horses moving up to new divisions and higher levels. We plan to attend bronze/silver hunter/jumper shows and all levels of dressage.
The past fall we also had a fantastic clinic with Simone Williams. We had dressage and jumping lessons and everyone worked really hard and learned a lot! In the fall Nicole also backed our young horse Desmond. He handled everything with ease. He has has had a few months off to enjoy life as a baby and will be put back to work this spring. We hope to see him at a few hunter shows later in the season. A few of our horses have also been leased to students. Candice has taken over the ride on Dash Is A Dot and has plans to show her in the hunters and Brianna is leasing our new boy Travis!
All the horses are now settled into their new home at AVS II! The snow this winter has allowed us to enjoy the hay fields fo hacking. Plans this spring include putting in more paddocks and putting up our second smaller barn.

This past weekend Alingsview Stables enjoyed some great results at the Silver East Dressage Championships! We would like to extend congratulations to Leah and The Belle Of The Ball on their Reserve Champion AA at Training Level as well as being Reserve High Point for the Day! This has been Leah and Belle's first year doing dressage after switching over from the hunter ring and we look forward to them moving up to 1st level next season. We are also proud of our young horse Leandro for winning Reserve Champion Open Training Level with Nicole. After coming to AVS as an unstarted yearling we are very proud to have done all his training to date! We have one more show for our schooling dressage riders and one more special event for our hunter riders.
AVS II is well on it's way! We have completed the all new 10 stalls, paddocks, grass jumping ring, 20x60 outdoor sand ring, outdoor wash stall and more. Our heated tack room and viewing room is also almost done! We look forward to our smaller barn being built in the spring with 5/6 more stalls and more storage. Huge thank you once again to all our wonderful clients for their patience during the move. We would also like to welcome Sheri and April to the barn with their horses Melody and Milly!

We have moved! We are now located at our new farm on Forward RD. S. Two years ago we began this project with the purchase of a new farm when finally the day came to move the arena! Down it came and up it went again followed by the construction of the new stalls. Horses soon followed and here we are! We want to thank all of our wonderful clients for all of their support during this time as well as Peter's family for giving us a start at our old location 5yrs ago. We look forward to what this new facility has to offer over the years to come!
In other news show season has continued with Leah and Nicole traveling to the Dressage at the Park show and Diane and Diana attending the Upperscotch Jumper show as well as our In House Show! Lots of ribbons were won by all!! We still have a few more hunter and dressage shows left as well as the Silver Dressage Championships!
We would also like to welcome Sharron and her horse Paige to the barn. Paige is a lovely mare in training with Nicole. Also, a big welcome all the new students who have joined our program over the past little while!
Welcome everyone to our new chapter at AVS II

Spring has sprung which means we start hitting the roads with the horses! We have been busy as usual here at AVS as we have riders attending both hunter/jumper and dressage shows! Our show team this year is Diane and Mercury, Leah and Belle, Mikayla and Magical One, Rachel and Noble and Nicole and Leandro and Dash. A few more students may join us at the shows this year as summer goes on. Good luck everyone and you can keep track of our results on our page.
We also had our first in house show of the season with lots of students from our barn as well as 3 riders from the area competed in hunter/jumper and dressage classes! One of our boarders Karen donated some wonderful trophies for the riders to take home in addition to our ribbons! Our next show will be at AVS II on Aug. 8th!
We would also like to say a big thank you to this semesters co op student Maria! Maria works in the barn 5 days a week until the end of june and has been a wonderful help.
Nicole and Lucky took a roadtrip to a wonderful barn in Avonmore where they were able to participate in a clinic with Sue Ziereisen. Lots was learned as they get ready to show Training level at the silver level this season. Special thanks to Sheri for welcoming us to their lovely facility!
We are also gearing up for our move to AVS II. Posts are set to go in any day now and we are now accepting a few new boarders for our new facility!
Warmrer Weather is Here!

It has been a busy winter here at AVS and we are happy to see the warm weather has arrived!
We have had 2 clinics in the barn. We started off with a dressage clinic with Micheal Green. We had 5 riders participate in private lessons and lots was learned! We switched gears this weekend with a jumper clinic with John Kersley. 9 horses were put through their paces and a great time was had by all! We have only a month and a half left before we begin our show season. This year we have bronze and silver hunter/jumpers and schooling and silver dressage horses! We are excited to have new horses and riders join our show team!
We also welcomed a new horse to the barn named Lark! Lark has dressage training and is currently in training with Nicole with hopes to start him over fences and have him join our program.
Plans are well underway in the development of AVS II. We have a lot of fencing done, one shelter in, a pad down for our outdoor wash stall and new sliding stall doors have been made as well as purchased. We are in the stage of planning the move of our larger arena.
We would also like to welcome Noble to the barn. He is a lovely trakaner cross from aspen creek and is here on lease to Rachel. We look forward to seeing them in the dressage and hunter rings!
